Taijun, observing the situation, understands the outcome but is delighted to see that the Yang family has produced another young and talented warrior. She immediately issues an order permitting Wenguang to join the army and deploys Cui Ying and Yang Seventh Sister as the vanguard. The next day, the troops set out.
The Song army advances steadily, reaching the frontier. Upon hearing that the hundred-year-old Taijun has taken up the commander’s seal and that the female generals of the Yang family are heading to the battlefield, the people come out to see them off, expressing their respect and admiration.
On that day, the troops arrive at the border. Yue Fei and the defending generals, along with the local populace, come out to welcome them, their hearts filled with both reverence and excitement. Taijun reassures the generals while the people bow in greeting.
The Western Xia King, Wen Wang, receives intelligence reports and cannot help but laugh aloud: “It seems the Song dynasty has no more men left and sent a group of women to face us. Truly laughable! Today, we shall crush them completely!” He immediately orders his generals Wei Gu and his son, Prince Wang Xiang, to go out and issue a challenge.
When the Western Xia army reaches the front, they hear three cannon shots from within the city, and the gates swing open. The female generals of the Yang family ride out in unison, their presence majestic and imposing. Wen Wang is shocked and mutters to himself, “The female generals of the Yang family are indeed extraordinary.”
Wen Wang, mounted on his horse, shouts, “Taijun, you are already over a hundred years old. Why come here to die? Surrender quickly and I will spare you!” Taijun responds, “You have no right to invade our borders and yet dare to speak such madness. Withdraw your troops at once, or face the consequences!”
Yang Wenguang, unable to hold back any longer, immediately spurs his horse forward and charges into battle.
Taijun, fearing for Wenguang’s safety, urgently orders Yang Seventh Sister to advance and scatter the enemy troops.
Yang Seventh Sister rides out, her spear thrusting forward like a dragon, fiercely attacking. Wang Xiang struggles to resist and is gradually pushed back. Wen Wang, enraged, personally takes to the battlefield to confront her.
Yang Seventh Sister shouts, “You’re finished!” With one spear thrust, she forces Wang Xiang to retreat. She then turns her horse to face Wen Wang, and with the Plum Blossom Lance, engages in fierce combat. Wen Wang and his son flee desperately. The Song army pursues them and claims a decisive victory.
